AMANDA   MORA

“A fresh blend of acoustic pop and cafe jazz with folk roots. The lyrical and musical sensibility ignites the imagination and assumes the listener’s intelligence.”

News Updates

Austin Songwriter’s Symposium 2012
Amanda Mora will be speaking on a panel discussion about touring as well as performing an official showcase at this years AGS symposium.
Studio Update
Things are coming along quite nicely in the studio. The bass, guitar, drums, and cello are all completed and it is already sounding very full and exciting. January and February will be spent adding the final touches with lead instruments and final vocals. If you happen to have a darling uncle or aunt who is the head of a good record label, send them my way! I would love to sign on this next album.
Amanda Mora joins The Pleasant Revolution
Amanda Mora will be performing as a musical act on the five band line up of the The Pleasant Revolution Bicycle Music Festival Tour Europe 2010 from May to October.
A new kind of happening for an evolving emissions free culture, the bicycle music festival (BMF) merges a 1200 Watt pedal-powered P/A system, zero use of cars and trucks, and an eclectic crew of world class musicians and volunteers. The entire experience is all human powered by setting up our bikes on stage, connecting them to generators, and having audience members pedal to power the system.

Amanda will be traveling with her tent, sleeping bag, tooth brush (I refuse to cut it in half), two pairs of underwear (hee hee, all right, maybe three!), and -you guessed it- acoustic guitar, strapped to her specially designed cargo touring bike along with a caravan of professional musicians, engineers, cycling advocates, and poets of world class talent, both known and unknown.

The group will be joined by a documentary film maker from Argentina and will be blogging and updating The Pleasant Revolution website with stories from the road.
