Singing Harmony with Eliza Gilkyson at Red House Records SXSW Party

It was SO thrilled to be invited to sing harmony with Eliza for her solo set at the Red House Records SXSW Party. Eliza is such a rock star and a timeless poet! Her music has been a huge influence on me. I see her as such a strong example of the kind of artist I strive to be. You can imagine how honored I was to have her sing on the new record, Awaiting The Sound. Thanks Eliza!

Mid-west tour dates: June 2013

.... a little update to let all our friends in Texas, Arkansas, and Missouri know that we are setting some dates for a two week tour this June. We will be posting more details on our shows soon, but are finalizing shows as follows:

Studio Update! Plus, Announcing A Special Guest on the Record!

I am having such a great time in the studio. Many of you already know that I am working on my second record right now. It is a twelve track record of original music. I am taking a similar approach to this record as I did the last: I am doing all the production and engineering of the record myself in my family's home studio.

March Songwriter Series at Thyme and Dough

Every Saturday in March, Amanda Mora will be hosting a song share with another local songwriter at Thyme and Dough in Dripping Springs, TX. Acoustic original music on the front porch. Amanda will be showcasing new material, and hosting a different fellow songwriter each Saturday.

Pushing Boundaries: Bicyle Music Festival Tour

Let's see here...where was I?
Oh, right, riding my bicycle across Europe for the last 5,000 miles and 6 months on a 100+ lb bicycle with a band of gypsy musicians performing 100% bicycle powered music...oh yes, that is it. The last I wrote, we were in Hungary and heading back West. Here is a brief summary of he roads we have followed since then....first the physical, then the internal.

East to West: Pleasant Revolution Bicycle Music Tour

Our travel log now includes the major cities, the largest festivals, and tiniest villages throughout England, Holland, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, and Slovenia. I would guess we have covered over 3,000 miles by bike.

My Life On a Bike Part 1: England, Holland, & Germany

As you may know, I have been cycling for over a month now, playing music with The Pleasant Revolution Bicycle Music Festival Tour in Western Europe. I am finally settling into life on a bicycle and feel like the true adventure has just begun…

Pleasant Revolution Music Tour

My name is Amanda Mora, and I am about to bike over 6000 miles through Europe with the Pleasant Revolution, a bicycle music tour that demonstrates how bands can tour independently, without cars, trucks, or vans by carrying our own equipment and putting on amazing musical shows with 100% bicycle-generated electricity. We depart on a ship from New York City on May 21st and will be overseas through October, 2010. We will have a collective tour blog at www.pleasantrevolution.net which will be full of great content and frequent updates from the members of the crew.

I (Amanda Mora) am a singer/songwriter and will be headlining as one of the five core bands on this tour. I am particularly proud to be one of only two Texans (fifth generation Austonian in fact!) representing on this tour.
